DOXOLOGY is making a difference for and through pastors in the LCMS

DOXOLOGY offers an innovative program of advanced study retreats to strengthen pastors for the task of faithfully shepherding the souls entrusted to their care.

The primary purpose of our organization is to provide training, mentoring and consultation services for pastors seeking to enhance their ability to help people struggling with the ever-increasing personal, family and social complexities of contemporary life. The retreat training environment, grounded in Holy Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions, ensures that pastors will be emotionally and spiritually refreshed and equipped by their participation. DOXOLOGY provides a safe environment for clergy to reflect on their own spiritual and emotional health and assists them to review and enhance their professional competencies and skills as servants of Christ and stewards of God’s sacred mysteries. DOXOLOGY strengthens pastors so they can more faithfully pastor others.

What are DOXOLOGY Participants Saying?

  • My congregation reported almost immediately that my preaching improved, my pastoral care improved, and our joy as a congregation flourished.
  • Quite directly, DOXOLOGY has not only “informed” me about the art of the care of souls, but has “formed” me into the pastor I am today.
  • Doxology has been the single most beneficial continuing education and growth opportunity in my 18 years of ministry. It is the single greatest influence in my day-to-day ministry as I am constantly remembering and applying its lessons.
  • DOXOLOGY A time to renew and learn new A time for pastors to be pastored. A time for ministers to be ministered to.
  • Being reminded that I too am a wounded soul and that Christ cares for me. Too often we carry so much of the burden and absorb too much of the hurt of others that it affects our faith and ability to serve. This in turn affects our communication of God’s grace to others. Please continue to help care for the shepherds.
